[SOLVED]Plotting across zero meridian?

Postby hannesh » Fri Dec 13, 2013 10:24 am

Hello,

I encountered a strange problem when creating a kriged surface map of the North Sea. When I try to plot it I get only the axes but no surface. I found out that I can plot the part east of the Greenwich meridian, when I cut it out With a polygon mask before. But the plotting fails when I try to plot anything west of the zero meridian, whether alone or the entire surface to either side of the meridian. There are no warnings or error Messages.

Has anybody encountered this problem before and found a solution?

Best regards,
Hannes Höffle

Hello

Sorry for not answering earlier to this post.
I tried to mimic your problem by creating a dummy data set AROUND long=0. By the way I also imagined a problem and extended the test to data around lat=0.
Then I implemented a grid (with negative origin) and kriged it. Then the representation went OK.

Could you please post data and script on this forum for better understanding.
