[SOLVED] Rgeostat routine to 'block average' a simulation?

Postby markm0705 » Sat Aug 17, 2019 6:29 am

I have a number of point simulations I wish to block average from the simulation grids. Ideally, I would like to be able to specify the origin of the block grid and block size and have the routine give the mean of all the simulation nodes within each block. I could write something in R but wondering if such a function is already available in RGeostat. Note I would like to exclude some simulation nodes around the margin of the (rectangular) simulated area for reasons of the study objectives.

Dear,
I think that you should use the function blockstat.
You can then exclude some simulation points (input database) or simulation node (output grid database) by using a selection (look at db.sel function).
Hope this helps,
Best regards.

Thanks - I expect this is the function I'm looking for
